Michael Kirk, B.Eng., M.A.Sc., P.Eng.

Michael Kirk brings to Humber over 20 years experience in supply chain management, logistics operations, customer service, and general management.  During his career, Michael has worked in the consumer products industry, the 3rd party logistics field, and acted as a consultant to leading companies. He graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, and holds a masters degree in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo. He is a registered Professional Engineer.  A motorcycle enthusiast, Michael is a frequent contributor to the motorcycle press in Canada.  He also enjoys travel, golf, and music.

Heather Mackay B.A., B.Ed

Heather Mackay is the Program Coordinator for the Supply Chain Management and Logistics Program. She joined the Humber College faculty in February of 2000 as a professor in the Logistics program and as a faculty member in the Co-op Plus and Career Management programs. Heather's prior work experience includes years spent in the teaching profession followed by working for Seagram's Australia Pty. Ltd. in Sydney. She teaches computer-related courses, International Business and Workplace Preparation. Heather has three children and in her spare-time is very actively involved in skiing, golfing and tennis, as well as serving on multiple advisory boards. She holds a Bachelors of Education Degree from Queen's University in Kingston.

Ekkehard Heidebrecht - B.Sc.

Ek Heidebrecht joined Humber College in August 2000 bringing with him 25 years of experience in Distribution/Supply Chain Management and 7 years of experience in Marketing Research at a leading multinational.He graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and has earned the CPIM and CIRM certifications from APICS. With two grown children, he is active in APICS, Toronto Chapter and his church, and enjoys outdoor activities especially cross-country skiing, canoeing, cycling and hiking.
 

Susan Krausz, Associate Dean of School of Applied Technology

Susan Krausz, Associate Dean of School of Applied Technology (former Program Manager for Supply Chain Management and Logistics), wins Mentor of the Year (April 2001) from the Canadian Association of Supply Chain Management and Logistics (SCL). The Mentor Award is presented to an individual who has coached, taught, advised, supported, guided and helped another individual attain his or her professional goals.
