Project Management

Cheryl Francis-Nurse MBA, PMP, CTDP

Cheryl is a full-time Professor of Project Management in the School of Applied Technology at Humber College. Cheryl holds a Post-MBA Diploma in Advanced Management from York University and an MBA with Distinction from Manchester Business School.  She also holds the designations of Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP); Prosci Change Management certification and a is a graduate of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto) Adult Training and Development Program. She is the author of several articles on project management and change management.
 
For over 15 years, she has provided expertise in the fields of organizational development, education, and project/portfolio management, strategic management, and marketing. Before joining Humber, she was employed to SPM Group as a Senior Learning & Development Consultant, Project Manager and Instructor specializing in the development and implementation of a range of organizational development solutions, project management methodology, business process improvement, and training and facilitation services. Cheryl has also held several other positions, including Lecturer at the University of Technology in Jamaica and Manchester Business School MBA program, as well as Commercial Officer at the British High Commission in Jamaica.
 
An award winning Project Manager and Facilitator, Cheryl has led several successful projects and her strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills resulted in the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) First Merit Award for Exceptional Efficiency in the Management of the Business Skills Program, for an economic development initiative involving public/private sector partnerships.
