Ken Bowes is a graduate of Ontario College of Art, and held a Design Canada Scholarship at Syracuse University, to complete the Bachelor of Industrial Design degree with honours.  He has also studied Automotive Design at Art Center College of Design. His career has been composed entirely of product design assignments, with manufacturers and consulting offices in Ontario and Quebec.  He serves as Chair of the Annual General Meetings of ACIDO.  He has been involved in education in the Humber Industrial Design program  since 1992.  In his work at Humber, he is most proud of his comprehensive series of demonstrations of perspective and fast manual sketch techniques.
