Mark Paddison has been a professional woodworker for over 25 years. He has wide experience in the industry including working on contract furniture, antique reproductions, kitchens and store fixtures. Mark spent five years building exhibits for the Ontario Science Centre. He also spent three years working for renowned Canadian Furniture designer Michael Fortune. When not at Humber College, Mark operates his own business designing and building furniture.

Mark holds a Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Woodworker. He also has a BA in English Literature and a MA in Community College Studies and Adult Learning. While at Humber he has been awarded a Distinguished Faculty Award and has been a NISOD recipient for excellence in education from the University of Texas at Austin.
