
Susan Schwartz Hon. B. A. Fine Arts, B.Ed.
Susan Schwartz background as a Designer has been incorporated in her class of Workshop Projects at Humber.
She graduated from Humber College in Creative Arts; Advertising and Graphic Design, where she received the award for highest academic standing of the graduating students in the program.
She received an Honours B. A. in Fine Arts at York University; majoring in 2-D Design and B & W photography. After working in the field of advertising she returned to University of Toronto to receive her Bachelor of Education. She taught Visual Arts in high school with City of Toronto (North York) and also taught in Moosenee at the James Bay Educational Centre.
Outside of teaching, Susan has been involved in design projects in the residential and commercial industry and is constantly exploring and experimenting in various fields; from painting, fabric art and furniture design.
Her passion for 2-D and 3-D design, interior and exterior spaces, furniture and art has followed her to Humber, where she has developed the studio Workshop Project class for the Interior Decorating Program. She is energetic and passionate about teaching and sees her role as a mentor and guide to help the students explore and develop their creativity in various medium in a positive and nurturing learning environment.
