An innovative and results-driven Career Coach, Janet possesses a distinct ability to help others achieve their career goals. Her passion for helping individuals in their career development has been a driving force in her life.

She's assisting job seekers with multiple barriers in their search to obtain a fulfilling career. She has a degree in Psychology, hold certificates in True Colors, Personality Dimensions and Adult Learning and over eight years of experience in career coaching and employment facilitation. Janet joined CAS in 2005.

Nelson Chan holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering, a certificate in Personnel and Industrial Relations and possesses the CHRL designation. He is a recruiter with over 15 years of corporate recruitment experience in various industries.

Nelson brings much enthusiasm along with a strong passion and commitment in providing career counselling, coaching and motivational empowerment to individuals.

Juliet Mackeson, Coach

Juliet has a long history of career and employment advising, job development and possesses strong management and leadership abilities. Juliet managed and coordinated adult evening courses through the Peel Board of Education and a variety of employment and training programs for students, unemployed and newcomer individuals.

Juliet has a zeal for helping individuals from all walks of life that need advice and coaching to help them realized their true potential and to be successful in their educational, career and employment goals and objectives.

Jillian George, Coach

Jillian George, Coach

A client-centred individual, Jillian has over 10 years of experience working in the community based non-profit employment sector with particular expertise supporting youth, newcomers and individuals with disabilities in achieving employment success through a holistic approach.

In recent roles held, she has successfully coordinated and facilitated youth based employment programs funded both Federally and Provincially and also spent time at Humber as a Field Placement Coordinator. Jillian is certified in Personality Dimensions level 1 and completed the Common Assessment Training Level 1 & 2. She is a Humber graduate from the Social Service Worker Diploma program and also holds a certificate in Student Affairs & Services.

Lavinia Karp is a career specialist with the Centre for Education & Training where she manages a high case load while maintaining a 95% customer satisfaction rate. In that capacity she delivers 1 on 1 employment counselling developing employment action plans in collaboration with her clients. She works with a range of clients including adults, youth and newcomers.

Lavinia has more than fifteen years of experience in the employment counselling field that includes work with Employment Services, Youth Opportunities, Parliament ERC and Adecco Employment Services. She has her Business Administration Diploma from Humber College, the Common Assessment Certificate from George Brown College and recently completed the Career Development Theories Certificate with the Career Development Practitioners’ Certification Board of Ontario.

Jennifer’s 10+ years of combined experience in career consulting, human resources and post-secondary education allows her to contribute to the success of students and alumni becoming skilled leaders in today's competitive labor market.

Within Jennifer’s current role at Humber College she supports students who come from very diverse backgrounds; where she coaches, empowers and educates individuals on effective career related skills. Jennifer’s goal is to provide the resources and guidance required to transition into the world of work and is committed and passionate about higher education and the success of the students that are a part of Humber’s diverse community.

Her educational background includes a Bachelors' Degree in Psychology from York University and a Diploma in Career and Work Counselling from George Brown College. Jennifer is a lifelong learner and currently pursuing her Masters of Education from Memorial University.

She specializes in Career Development, Resume/ Cover Letter Development, Job Search/Interview Strategies, Labour Market Information, and Student Development.

Her professional experience includes working in both the education and employment services sector providing optimal service to students/clients.She is especially known for promoting and integrating self-knowledge exercises to her practice in hopes of developing emotionally intelligent leaders in the workplace and beyond.

Jindy is recognized by Career Development colleagues for possessing unique professional skills and competencies; combined with an attentive empathy when working with students on an individual basis. As a self-motivated professional with a keen interest in lifelong learning and personal development, she continues her journey as she pursues her Masters in Education (concentrating in Student Affairs). She has aligned her academic and professional experience all with the intent to provide a meaningful contribution to student success through a holistic approach.
