Humber sponsors free TTC service on New Year’s Eve

Toronto, Ontario – December 22, 2009 – Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning is helping Torontonians arrive home safely this New Year’s. Humber is sponsoring complimentary TTC service between 12:01 a.m. and 4 a.m. on January 1, 2010.

“Humber is pleased to be a part of this important initiative, as many students and youths will be participating in New Year’s celebrations throughout the city,” says John Davies, president, Humber College. “We are deeply committed to supporting programs which focus on safety and the well-being of the local community.”

Approximately 100,000 people are expected to take advantage of this fare-free service which will include access to subways, buses, streetcars and Wheel-Trans.

Humber joins Liberty Entertainment Group, Molson Coors Canada, The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, and Diageo in supporting the Toronto Entertainment Alliance efforts to make the New Year’s celebrations safer and more accessible to everyone.
