Humber offers 150 programs in more than 40 areas of study across eight academic schools.
Academic scholarships valued at $1000 (redeemed in two installments, $500 – fall and $500 – winter) will be awarded to fall applicants who apply prior to the equal consideration deadline (February 2) for our postsecondary/postgraduate programs. These scholarships are based primarily on academic merit and do not require a separate application. The top applicants for each academic division will be automatically considered and notification will be included in the admissions acceptance letters.
To be eligible for these academic scholarships, candidates must be qualified for their chosen program at Humber and must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident entering the first year of full-time postsecondary/postgraduate studies.
A limited number of entrance scholarships are available to full-time students entering a Humber postsecondary/postgraduate program for the first time. The value of these scholarships is $1,000.
Minimum criteria include academic proficiency, two reference letters (education, employment, community) and involvement in extra-curricular activities. Entrance scholarships are available in limited numbers for selected programs.

Entrance scholarships will be awarded by decision of Humber's Scholarship Committee. A student may not receive more than one entrance scholarship.

Humber College is pleased to advise that the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities’ International Strategy has allocated funding to create a limited number of Ontario International Education Opportunity Scholarships for students completing part of their academic program abroad. This scholarship will provide eligible students with financial support for an eligible period of academic study, work term or co-op placement outside of Canada.
The value of each scholarship is $2,500.

This scholarship is open to mature students from the Jane-Finch, Rexdale or other similar city-designated at-risk neighbourhoods in Toronto, who are entering for the first time any Humber postsecondary program. The successful recipient must demonstrate financial need and how they are working to overcome obstacles in the pursuit of their educational goals. The John Cameron Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in memory of John Cameron, former director of Purchasing Services at Humber, from 1968 to 1979.
To be awarded to a student enrolling in any Humber postsecondary program for the first time who has achieved a minimum of 75 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school. Applicants should include the following supporting documentation with their application: official high school transcripts from the last two years, one letter of reference (academic and personal/ employment), and an essay, approximately 250 words, on "Why attending college is important to my education and career goals."
Carlos Costa Entrance Scholarship
All postsecondary and postgraduate programs: academic achievement (a minimum 70 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); letters of reference (one academic and two personal) and an essay (approximately 250 words) expressing what they have done to demonstrate perseverance and endurance in the pursuit of academic, career and life goals.
The Dr. Winsome E. Smith Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in consultation with the Black Business and Professional Association, in honour of Dr. Winsome E. Smith, the first black Chair of the Board of Governors of Humber.
All postsecondary and postgraduate programs: academic achievement (a minimum 75 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); demonstrated financial need; two references (academic, employment) supporting the applicant's participation in school activities/events and/or involvement in the black community; supporting documentation to include an official transcript of marks and at least two letters of reference.
All postsecondary and postgraduate programs: academic achievement (a minimum 80 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); two references supporting demonstrated leadership and contribution to society.
Computer Engineering Technology: academic achievement (a minimum 80 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); two references supporting demonstrated leadership and contribution to society.
Two- or three-year programs in Electromechanical Engineering - Automation and Robotics, Mechanical Engineering Technology: academic proficiency; an essay (approximately 250 words) on "How would __________ enhance the competitive position of Canadian manufacturing?" Choose one of Computers, Robotics, Automated Manufacturing or Computer Graphics.
TAC Foundation/Dinah and John Emery Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide financial recognition to a student entering the first year of the Civil Engineering Technology program with the intent of encouraging him/her to consider following a career path in technical disciplines related to transportation. Selection is based on academic achievement (a minimum of 80 per cent average) in the final two years of secondary school or equivalent; type a one-page, single-spaced letter (approximately 250 words) outlining your career goals relating to transportation. The successful candidate will be required to provide a short biographical summary to Financial Aid.

General Arts and Science (College or University Profile): academic achievement (a minimum 70 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); one reference (academic or personal, excluding family members) attesting to the student's contribution to school and community activities; an essay (approximately 250 words) on "Why attending college is important to my educational and career goals."
Broadcasting-Radio, and Film and Television Production: academic achievement (a minimum 80 per cent average in the final two semesters of secondary school or equivalent); two references supporting demonstrated leadership and contribution to society.

Full Tuition Renewable Scholarships
Humber offers two full tuition renewable scholarships for new students beginning their academic studies in September 2010. Applications will be considered based on academic achievement, community involvement, references and a written statement. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student's ability to maintain a 70 per cent GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber.
Entrance Scholarships (Non-renewable)
Twelve (12) entrance scholarships valued at $1,000 CAD each will also be presented to international students. The scholarships are divided throughout our three semesters; eight (8) available for September 2010, three (3) available for January 2011, and one (1) available for May 2011.
Deadlines
Scholarship deadlines are as follows: June 11, 2010 (for September 2010), October 15, 2010 (for January 2011) and February 11, 2011 (for May 2011). Completed applications should be returned to International Admissions. All applications received by the appropriate due date will be considered by the Scholarship Committee. Only successful scholarship recipients will be contacted. Decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final.

The Ontario Trust for Student Support Fund (OTSS) was established in 1996 by the Province of Ontario to provide financial support for Ontario college and university students in full-time post secondary education. The funds raised by alumni, college staff and students, Humber Student Federation and corporate partners listed below are matched by the Government of Ontario. Available OTSS scholarships and criteria are listed below. Specific deadlines apply.
Scadding Court Community Centre and the Toronto Community Housing Corporation’s Investing in our Diversity Scholarship Program awards $4,000 post-secondary scholarships to young people who are active in their communities on issues of diversity, equity and/or anti-racism. What sets this program apart from other scholarship programs is that it targets youth from marginalized communities who are working actively to improve their communities and their city.
Since 2003, the program has awarded over $330,000 in scholarships to over 85 exceptional young people. It also brings together individuals, organizations, businesses and corporations from across different sectors to make a real difference in the life of a young person and their community.
The program also includes matching scholarships from post-secondary institutions to support students’ second year of studies and an Employment Program delivered in partnership with St. Stephen’s Community House through which applicants receive support in securing summer employment that is relevant to their field of study, develops professional skills and networks, and allows them to earn decent wages to further support them in completing their education.

The Grenada Association - Toronto is offering a maximum of four scholarships each worth $1,000.00 Ca. to Grenadians and/or children and grand-children of Grenadian parentage resident in Ontario who are registered as a 1st. or 2nd. year student in a full-time undergraduate program at a University or College in Canada. The recipients will be selected based on academic achievement as well as community involvement.
