In this introductory workshop, students will examine and investigate Roman Art and Art History, looking at how Rome has played a major role in creating some of Western civilizations most significant artworks. Students will examine a variety of artistic forms and periods, including paintings, sculpture, and architecture. Students will walk away with an understanding of the importance of art and the confidence and desire to plan their own trips separate from guide books and tourist guides; travel off the beaten path and to create their own stories.
In the language component of the Art History Tourism workshop you will learn some basic Italian to allow you to communicate. The workshop will be conversation-based and very interactive to help you converse during your trip.
