This course is designed to provide basic theory and practical skills to successfully manage an auto extrication of a victim or victims. The student will learn to identify and assess the hazards present during scene or patient and vehicle stabilization. Cribbing techniques, patient assessing, boarding or collaring, Kendrick extrication device (KED) and the removal with the assistance of hand tools including door opening and roof flapping will be discussed.
