Spanish 6: Advanced High
Course Number: SPAN 106
This Level 6 Spanish course is designed for advanced speakers and learners. Spanish 6 consists of the following elements of the language: ? Speaking: Speak the language with sufficient accuracy to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, professional, and abstract topics. ? Listening: Understand the main ideas of all speech in a standard dialect. ? Reading: Read with almost complete comprehension and at a normal speed expository prose on unfamiliar subjects and a variety of literary text . ? Writing: Express effectively in most formal and informal writing on practical, social and professional topics. During the course, the student will gain the language and language-learning skills necessary to achieve an advanced-high level of proficiency, according to the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Guidelines.
This course does not qualify for General Education credit.
