This course provides an overview of the enterprise systems, describing the organizational and technical context for their development, while exploring the challenges associated with their use. Extensions to enterprise systems are presented, including extended supply chain management, e-commerce integration, managerial support systems, inter-enterprise integration, and global systems. Several pedagogical features are included in this course to enhance presentation of the materials so that students can easily understand the concepts and apply them. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on applying update concepts, and use of the ERP(enterprise resource planning) applications software.
