By learning intermediate costume practices, students will continue to improve upon their vocabulary, techniques and understanding of the processes acquired in Wardrobe I. As well as building on their knowledge of sewing, students will learn how to measure the body and ready-to-wear garments, the basics in flat pattern drafting, and the importance of dart manipulation for the creation of new designs. Students will construct a skirt sloper that will be checked for fit and accuracy. As part of the final project, a romantic shirt will be constructed to further develop costume knowledge and skill.
