Course Code

DGAS 101

Academic Year

2016-2017

The course introduces students to the basic elements of three-dimensional design such as texture, material, form and model making. These are placed in context with such factors as emotional appeal, scale, unity and balance. Over the term, students are involved in projects that introduce the basic elements of form. They discover how these elements can be used to design and create objects that are both esthetically appealing and structurally sound, while meeting prescribed criteria.
