In this course students learn how to effectively use automated sales tools, product knowledge and customer service to enhance client satisfaction and agent productivity. This course builds on the skills and knowledge acquired in TRAV 150. Through lectures and lab work, students expand their ability to accurately interpret rules and complete fare construction to include international itineraries using multiple channels of distribution (GDS, Web, charter and consolidator sites). Students increase their working knowledge of the Apollo Reservation System and explore alternate Web based travel programs used in the travel industry. This course develops advanced skills and knowledge of the GDS system which supports students in their search for internships and career with tour operators and retail travel guides.
