Students participating in this course will become familiar with the common principles, techniques and resources of non-linear editing. Students participating in this course also receive an overview of cross-platform file formats (graphic, video and audio) and their various characteristics and uses. To this end they are also introduced to the various programs that utilize and encode to these formats. Students also learn video compression strategies and how to ensure cross-platform/hardware/software compatibility.
