Animation Art 5

In this course, students learn how to act using dialogue. Strong acting choices make the character seem alive and are the key to a believable performance. The over-arching theme of this course is that facial acting infuses depth and personality into animated characters. Once the foundation has been laid, students will focus on the more subtle aspects and nuances of facial acting. These compose of the emotional beats, empathy and moods of the character. The face is a whole unit and shape and, within this framework, students will learn how the small pieces play a big role in delivering slight changes in the character s emotions and thoughts.
