Course Description
This project-based course focuses on leading students through a structured production process for interactive screen-based media. Major projects will consist of one individual or partner-based project and one group project with clearly demarcated individual roles. These projects will provide the impetus in guiding the students towards the preparation of industry standard supporting documentation for the creation of such projects. Documentation includes Gantt charts, design layouts, storyboards for interactivity and animation, wire frames and flowcharts. Students will be required to pitch their project and will utilize asset management and record keeping systems. The group project will be produced in a collaborative multistage process, which adheres to deadlines for deliverables, which will be signed off. Workshops will be held, as required to provide specific skills useful to enhancing the projects (i.e., DVD authoring).
