This course will give students a working knowledge of the transactional and managerial systems in financial institutions, along with legislation, regulation and industry compliance codes that are directly associated with financial products and services. Students will be introduced to the various client interface, support and accounting systems, and detailed records available to assist clients with managing their finances. Students will also explore how client and management information systems integrate to produce the detailed reports necessary to monitor the progress of the organization toward the achievement of its goals and objectives. The course will introduce and expose students to the various tools, practices and techniques used in determining and meeting customer needs, maintaining client records, and tracking and monitoring sales results while meeting compliance needs for privacy and anti-money-laundering.
