Course Description
This course assumes no accounting knowledge on the part of the learner. Learners will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of accounting and application of bookkeeping. Learners will focus on the key areas of accounting which includes but is not limited to recording transactions, cash management, calculating and recording payroll, inventory management and creating financial statements. Financial terms and definitions will be introduced throughout the course. Learners will gain basic knowledge of how transactions are recorded and summarized into financial statements, which will give them the foundation to set-up and manage the books for their small/mid-size business.
