This course is designed to develop a working knowledge of financial statement analysis and interpretation. Emphasis will be on a practical approach to forecasting techniques. Topics covered will include the income statement, statement of retained earnings, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, ratio and trend analysis, cash flow forecasts, budgeting, pro forma financial statements, short and long-term financing options, and management of working capital.
Please note that students who choose to take an online section of this course must write the final exam in person (either at the Humber North or Lakeshore campus, or (if located more than 100km from the campus) through an approved proctoring facility. Any costs associated with this are the sole responsibility of the student.
