This course provides learners with a higher level of understanding with respect to leadership in the bereavement sector. The course will include a focus on "How do we operate in an ethically and morally responsible manner when dealing with the vulnerabilities of the bereaved?" Students will be afforded the opportunity to gain practical learning of the dominant funeral home management software currently in use in the field. The concept of coaching so as to assist in building solid work teams along with the fundamentals of constructive discipline and conflict resolution so as to assist in the maintenance and motivation of a team will be explored. The theory of interviewing people for a job will be explored along with opportunities to practice interviewing skills.
