Clinical Practicum

The TCM practicum continues the clinical experience with emphasis on acupuncture. Students learn to apply knowledge, skills and critical thinking to the practice of acupuncture. Utilizing mannequin, model or simulated patient mimicking various clinical situations, student will practice locating acupuncture points, and composing acupuncture formula; as well as various needling techniques. Students will practice clean needling procedure and measures of acupuncture risk management. At the end of the practicum students must successfully demonstrate knowledge and skills development required for entering clinical practice.
