College Writing Skills – Public Relations

COURSE Code: COMM 205
3 Credits

Course Description

Just as talking is based on listening and drawing is based on observing, writing is based on reading and grammar. This communications course for Public Relation's students is designed on the premise that writing is the most essential skill for public relations practitioners.

Since reading and writing are mutually reinforcing, this course offers good models for analysis so that students will become aware of stylistic and syntactic options open to them. Students will develop skills in grammar, punctuation and spelling via memorization. Editing will ensure that grammatical and mechanical rules are meticulously applied through disciplined practice.
