Course Description

This course provides students with an understanding of the operation of a full-service dining room and front of the house procedures practised in the hotel and restaurant industry. This course is taught in the Humber Room and introduces students to the various front of the house positions and the theory and techniques of customer service. The course includes styles of service for different types of restaurants. Students will practice dining room service, table set-ups, point-of-sale system and will focus on the operation of a full-service restaurant. The Humber Room is an integral part of the Albert Schnell/Hilton Learning and Catering Centre.
