In this course, students are introduced to the study of human factors and the spaces that they inhabit. Through lectures worksheets and projects students assess, research, discuss and demonstrate anthropometrics, proxemics, and ergonomics including dimensional standards and components of interior planning as they relate to the decorated environment.
Along with the study of able-bodied persons, students will also investigate aging and mobility issues, including the physically challenged as it relates to life safety, environmental and (touching on) building code issues.
