Lecture studio course in which students will apply skills acquired in the first semester to complete several residential decorating problems, this will include visual presentation of the solutions for evaluation. Students apply creative methods conveying their ideas through manual drafting, sketching, and AutoCAD. Students will develop the effective placement of elements by drawing upon ergonomics and anthropometrics, principles and elements of design, and as well as their knowledge of light and colour theories. In addition students will learn oral and graphic communication skills. There will also be a site visit with site measurement, a client interaction. In addition there will be guest speakers from the industry, field trips, trade show, and showroom visits as appropriate to the projects.
