Digital Stills: Editing Photography

This course will use Photoshop as the dominant production tool along with Illustrator as a complementary tool. The course will introduce students to the fundamentals in designing graphical user interface. Students will apply fundamentals in colour theory, typography, layout and visual hierarchy. These principles are presented as part of a universal set of techniques that are applied across design discipline and reinforced through examples in numerous design fields. Students are introduced to both design elements and principles to reinforce basic ideas and practice of good visual design.
