This overview focuses on the varied roles and responsibilities of book editors, primarily those who work in-house. The course also explores how editors are involved with other facets of publishing. It reviews the basic levels of manuscript editing, including developmental work. The unique relationship between author and editor will be discussed, with an extended module on creativity, particularly creative writing.
