This course discusses the techniques needed to plan and stage successful fashion events. Students learn through theory and hands on planning, the wide variety of elements involved in the planning, design, promotion and production of both small and large scale fashion events. Students will learn how to set event objectives, allocate resources, coordinate team efforts, and complete budget proposals for client presentations. This course is driven by in-class theory, as well as independent study, and student presentations. Students must be prepared to devote considerable time and effort outside the class to meetings, teamwork, researching and presenting materials that are shared with other students.
