This course explores the principles of colour theory as it applies to the fashion industry. Student will recognize colour variations in hue, value and intensity and identify appropriately colour descriptors and codes as related to colour science and the fashion industry. Students will learn how to compile an effective, professional and creative visual presentation manual. Correct colour terminology will be used to identify colour relationships and palettes. Students will also learn the mechanics of body proportions as related to fashion trends and styles of dressing. Students will learn how to apply fashion trend and fits appropriately for all male and female body types in order to advise clients as wardrobe consultants.
