Course Description

This course discusses the techniques needed to plan and stage successful fashion events (Conferences, Trade Shows, Fashion Shows). Students learn through theory and hands on participation, the wide variety of elements involved in the planning, design, production, and execution of both small and large scale events. Students will learn how to set event objectives, allocate resources, coordinate team efforts, and complete budget proposals for client presentations.

This course is driven to a considerable extent by independent study, student presentations and applied activities. Students must be prepared to devote considerable time and effort outside the class to meetings, teamwork, researching and presenting materials that are shared with other students.
