This course is designed to instruct the student in the principles of fluid mechanics and to enable the student to solve fundamental problems related to fluid statics and fluid dynamics. Students will use standard formulas and design charts to solve problems related to hydrostatic pressures and forces, buoyancy and stability, pressurized pipes, and open channel flow.
