Course Description
This intensive, primarily technical course, will teach students the core terminology and skills of non-linear digital video and still image editing techniques using, industry standard soft wares on the Macintosh platform. Students will learn the Macintosh operating systems and file management skills. They will be introduced to the Final Cut Pro non-linear video editing system. Video editing workflow such as logging, capturing, editing and output will be examined in detail. They will also learn how to create DVDs using IDVD. Students will be introduced to Photoshop. Basic scanning, image manipulation, photo correction, text creation and compositing techniques will be examined. Students will incorporate the use of the Learner Management System as an additional learning tool.
