This course introduces the architecture of game engines. The course will examine the major components of game engines along with various techniques for implementing the components. Topics will include cameras, lighting, scene graphs, spatial sorting, culling, level of detail renderers, and sound. At the end of the course, the student will understand how a game engine works and be able to effectively use a game engine.
