Cross-Cultural Effectiveness

Course Description

This course provides an exploration of culture and of the cultural factors and variables that influence communication and effectiveness in a cross-cultural environment. Topics include cultural identity, race and ethnicity, religious affiliation, community and family membership. Students will explore their own culture and biases, as well as strategies for living and working overseas, dealing with discrimination, culture shock, re-entry, and working with counterparts.
