Business Research Methods

COURSE Code: GBMP 509
3 Credits

Course Description

This course provides students with a solid understanding of business research practices, processes, and makes them aware of the tools available to assist business decision-making. The initial focus is on business research principles and practices as they pertain to Canada. This is then expanded to the international horizon where the more complex role of research is examined by exploring practical issues, opportunities, and hurdles, which result in different approaches to problem solving. This is a hands-on course where students are expected to learn through in-class activities, discussions and workshops. This is supplemented by practical assignments and cases where students are expected to apply their learning to real-world situations.
