Hospitality and Tourism Information Technology Systems

This course provides comprehensive hands-on-learning using various contemporary industry information and management systems. Students will gain operational and managerial skills and knowledge of Property Management and Point of Sale Systems, Global Distribution Systems, Purchasing and Receiving Systems, Tour Operating and Internet Distribution Systems. More specifically students will focus on the concepts, tools and techniques of revenue management strategies. Students will also review and interpret management reports created by these systems and be expected to make management decisions in several different "real world" scenarios.
