Academic Year

2016-2017

Managerial accounting builds on financial accounting concepts. As opposed to financial accounting, whose objective is the construction and reporting of financial statements, managerial accounting challenges students to interrelate and inter-connect managerial accounting topics whose ultimate purpose is better decision-making. This course attempts to present linkages among managerial accounting concepts that form the body of managerial accounting knowledge. The course emphasizes the use of organizational information to assist in the management of various functions within the organization including the human resources unit. The focus will be on performance measurement.
