Human Resources in Arts and Culture

This course focuses on the human resources needed to run an arts or culture organization, with discussion of HR law, employment standards, management styles, board governance, volunteer identification, staff/volunteer relations, recruitment and training, employee development cycles and professional development. This course considers the needs, perspectives and obligations of management, labor, individual self-employed artists, contractors and suppliers.
