The Investigation and Evidence course provides students with a basic knowledge of forensic science and the role it plays in a criminal investigation. The course also includes how forensic evidence contributes to the investigative process such as interpreting crime scenes, injury and sudden death. The role of trace evidence, fingerprint identification and fibre identification is examined. The student gains an understanding of recording, collecting and preserving evidence from a crime scene and its presentation in court.
