Course Description
Students will learn the extensible markup language (XML), including how to write documents, define new document types, and parse and manipulate documents. This will be used as a basis for understanding the technologies used in web services. The web service technologies examined include SOAP for invoking services, WSDL for describing the services and UDDI for locating services. Techniques for securing web services will be presented as well as design patterns for web services.
