Course Description

This course is intended for those who wish to maintain and use data warehouses. Before attending this course, you should be familiar with relational database concepts and basic data warehouse theory. The course will look at materialized views, the ETL framework, and loading data from various sources. Several tools will be utilized to work with the data warehouse. SQL*Loader, Data Pump, and Import and Export. The benefits of parallelization and query rewrite will also be covered. Tuning, backup and recovery topics will also be discussed.
