Course Description
Materials, is an introductory course in which the student will review the characteristics and properties of wood and wood-related products used in the cabinet making industry. The course is designed to assure basic understanding of lumber, veneer, sheet goods, plastic laminates, adhesives, fasteners and hardware in order to plan woodworking production, perform estimates and takeoffs in preparation for practical training sessions.
