Course Description
This course teaches basic photography and digital imaging as it is practiced in journalism. The course enables the student at the beginning stages of understanding the art of image gathering to assess, evaluate conditions and take photographs for publication. Emphasis will be on the photographic skills required for taking news-related photographs that are well exposed, dramatic, well composed and in focus.
