Course Description
In this course students will learn how Canada works politically and economically, and they will be introduced to beat reporting - from politics to sports, the arts, lifestyles and business. The course is divided into two sections - This portion concentrates on political issues in federal, provincial and municipal governments. Students will learn how to cover beats and write stories on events from local and regional governments. Covering Parliament Hill, Queen's Park and other provincial legislatures will also be examined.
