Course Description
This course builds on the development of skills introduced in JRNL 115, and moves forward to cover skills necessary to produce television newscasts. The main goal for students in this course is that they learn all the basics required to produce their own television reports, which will lead to their being able to contribute to Humber News programming in JRNL 414. Students learn to research, shoot, edit and write their own TV news reports. Students also learn the language of television production and the basic roles required to produce television news. Students must be prepared for an intense learning curve both editorially and technologically.
