This course introduces the core principles of marketing and selling tourism products and services. The course is designed to establish an application of marketing concepts and steps necessary to develop a marketing plan. Students will recognize and apply a variety of sales techniques and strategies, matching tourism products and services with customer needs, motivations and expectations. Marketing and sales promotion and communication concepts, strategies and opportunities, including internet, web-based and social media tools, are analyzed and evaluated.
