In this course, students prepare to practise massage therapy with patients in late adulthood and those in palliative care. Students explore the role of a massage therapist in hospitals, long-term care facilities and hospice care in preparation for placement in these facilities in WORK350 (MSTH370): Clinical Internship 3. Simulated patients and field trips help students apply their knowledge and skills to a variety of patient presentations.
