Course Description
In this course, students study the importance of an online presence to an organization and develop a critical understanding of the content needs of an organization's website. They learn how to deliver the same message through different media to different audiences. They also write for specific audiences through specific media (e.g. email, direct mail, marketing packages, websites). Students adapt written material for the web, describe the concept of information architecture and create a flow chart for a multi-page website. They use library databases for research purposes and explore the future of online publishing (e-zines, web-casting, portals, blogs, pod-casting).
